Out from Brighton city centre our new student group discover the beautiful town of Lewes, nestled within the rolling hills of the South Downs. This is a quaint little town comprised of charming medieval streets and a wealth of interesting independent shops. Our students spent the day in Lewes at the castle and then looking around the town. They even managed to get some sunbathing in as the weather was so nice!
They then travelled back to Brighton and went on a walking tour of the city. There we met the other group from Burgess Hill and together we started our Brighton Tour. When the whole group was together they visited the Lanes; Duke Lane, Black Lion Lane, Ship Lane and Meeting House Lane. On the way, spend some time learning about the secrets of Brighton such as the Jack The Ripper’s Diary and The Ghost of the Blue Nun.
They also visited ChoccyWooccyDoodah to see the fabulous chocolate creations, and after we stopped to enjoy the Royal Pavilion garden and learn about this magnificent place. Our final stop was the Churchill Square, where the Activity Leaders helped the students to get safely home by public buses.
What an amazing sunny day! Check the photos bellow:
